MV Columbus

MV Columbus

The Ship Built for the Great Lakes

Modeled after Germany's finest luxury ships, the MV Columbus was designed specifically to accommodate the locks of the Great Lakes. The atmosphere onboard is one of casual elegance enhanced by delightful facilities, outstanding cuisine, and an attentive, international crew. As a German owned and operated cruise ship, marketed in the U.S. and Germany, all programs and announcements will be in both English and German.

Accommodations

The ship contains 134 outside cabins, 63 inside cabins and 8 outside suites (2 with verandas). Each cabin features a fully equipped bathroom with shower, toilet, washbasin, and hair dryer. Amenities include a mini bar, desk and chair, a safe for valuables, and ample closet space. All cabins have a telephone and color TV with four ship channels—including one linked to an onboard camera displaying the view from the bridge. In addition, most outside cabins have sitting areas.

Facilities

For your enjoyment, nothing has been overlooked. The MV Columbus features a large restaurant, a lounge for dancing and special events, a Palm Garden with bar, a galleria with group seating areas and wine bar, library, swimming pool, pool bar, fitness room, sauna, boutique/gift shop, hair salon, and photo lab.

Outstanding Cuisine, Stellar Service

The ship's restaurant is large enough to accommodate all guests at one seating. Passengers may enjoy breakfast in the restaurant or the Palm Garden. Lunch is served in the restaurant, with an optional buffet offered in the Palm Garden. Coffee and tea are served in the afternoon and, following the evening meal, a midnight snack is available at the Palm Garden buffet.

Note to Passengers: All public spaces, the restaurant, palm garden and lounge, with the exception of the bar section of the lounge and the portside of the wine bar as well as designated areas around the pool, are non-smoking areas. All cabins are non-smoking cabins.
